Binary Blasters have emerged as champions of the ISU Football Fest, Season-1 organized by the International Standard University (ISU) Sports Club. ISU Vice-Chancellor Abdul Awal Khan and former national football team player Kaiser Hamid handed over the trophies to the champion and runner-up teams at the Royal Multisports Arena in the capital on Monday afternoon.
Binary Blasters, a team from the Computer Science and Engineering department, defeated Textile Warriors, a team from the ISU Textile Engineering department, by a 2-1 goal margin in a thrilling final match. Atiq Rahman of Merchant Mavericks of the Apparel Merchandising and Management department was named the best player of the tournament, while Mehedi Hasan of Textile Warriors won the best goalkeeper award.
